Sports Anchors: How Much Time Do You Get?

How much time do you get at 9/10PM? How much time do you feel you NEED at 9/10PM? It seems time for sports is getting shorter and shorter. Why? Do people really care less about sports or do news managers THINK people care less about sports?

I think the time is adequate, most of the stations have the same soundbites which makes sports less interesting and the need for time less necessary, at least giangreco does some fun things with his sports segment.

It seem to me that less importance is put on sports. On WFLD, there's Mike Barz doing sports instead of sports anchor.

i know trashman, but that is for a morning show and they haven't had sports for a couple years over there. besides at least barz is a former sports guy. i was thinking nightside shows. but morning shows totally neglect it

Oh, you have to know that it's a money issue. Probably used the money they saved to get the Super Duper Radar.
